How Honey & Turmeric Benefit the Skin
Honey not only tastes amazing but it’s also great for your skin, typically for all skin types. Honey is a great moisturizer; it brightens the skin and it helps with scarring, along with so many other benefits. Honey can be mixed with many other ingredients such as yogurt, turmeric, coconut oil, and aloe. Each ingredient plays a different role to help the skin, depending on your specific needs. First, we will focus on the benefits of a honey turmeric mask and what it’s useful for.
Honey turmeric masks are very beneficial for those who have suffered from acne and are left with scarring. While honey acts as an anti-inflammatory to help heal acne scars, turmeric works as an antibacterial agent, getting rid of anything unwanted on the skin. Yogurt is also highly beneficial to use as a moisturizer.
Turmeric Honey Face Mask
Ingredients:
Honey
Turmeric powder

Plain greek yogurt
Directions:
Start out by putting 1 tablespoon of honey into a small bowl. Then, add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and a few drops of plain greek yogurt to the honey and mix it all together. Once it’s mixed, refrigerate the mask for about 30 minutes until it’s firm. You can then apply it to your face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Wash it off with cool water.
Your skin will feel soft and moisturized. You may have a yellowish tint to your skin after using this mask but this is just from the turmeric and will subside quickly.
